Ozawaanungokwe indigoo Anishinaabemong idash (Yellowstarwoman is what I am known by (By the spirits) in Ojibwe.)   Makwa niin indoodem. (I am bear clan).  Anishinabe Academy gikinoo' amaading indanokii.  Niminwendaan anokiiyaan omaa.  (I work at Anishinabe Academy. I like working here.).
 I started working for Minneapolis Public schools in 1981.  I have worked with Kindergarten through grades 12.  My education degrees are from the University of Minnesota (Bachelor of Science) and the University of Kansas (Master of Science).
