I began teaching at Anishinabe Academy in the fall of 2010. I attended Hamline University and obtained a degree in biology and a minor in education. My desire to teach stemmed from my desire to learn. I find that students teach me just as much as I teach them. When in class, the students will be challenged and given many opportunities to learn through exploration of creativity, hands-on activities and focus on scientific investigations. Students are expected to be prepared for class, ready to learn, respectful and willing to push themselves in their education.
Students are required to have for class:
A composition notebook
A pencil
A brain!
